FlameFront Fire Resources offers wildland firefighter training
that complies with the qualification requirements established
by the National Wildfire Coordinating Group
(NWCG).
NWCG uses the Wildland and Prescribed Fire Qualifications
Systems Guide PMS 310-1
to describe the requirements, task, and training required for each
position in the wildfire community. Positions included are for operations,
finance, logistics and planning.
Our mission at Flame Front Fire Resources is to deliver
the highest quality most comprehensive training solutions
available, where:

Training is brought to your agency or department to provide a
more cost effective method to train an increased number of personnel
within your department or agency.

Interagency or mutual aid department training is encouraged. This
enables participants to work together as they will on the fire line,
and promotes teamwork and consistency among agencies.

Students are issued a Certificate of Completion after successful
course completion and demonstration of the skills and knowledge
defined in the course objectives.

COURSES OFFERED |
We offer the following courses:
Core:
Our speciality is teaching S-130/190, Basic Firefighter.
This course is taught to the beginning firefighter in a manner that
gives the student what is needed to be a safe, effective wildland
firefighter. Basic Firefighter is conducted through classroom lectures,
exercises and hands-on field work. The class ends with an innovative
method of instruction that solidifies the course for the students.
- S-130/190 - Basic Firefighter
- S-131 - Advanced Firefighter
Leadership:
This series of courses allow the student to evaluate their personal leadership
qualities. Innovative group exercises and Investigations of fatal or near
miss fires provide opportunities for our students to explore leadership
and human factors.
- L-180 - Human Factors on the fire line
- L-280 - Followership to Leadership

- S-200 - Initial Attack Incident Command Type 4 (ICT4)
- S-211 - Portable Pumps & Water
- S-215 - Wildland Urban Interface
- S-290 - Intermediate Fire Behavior
Incident Management and Command:
- I-200 - Beginning Incident Command Structure (ICS)
- I-300 - Intermediate ICS
- Colorado State Certified NIMS National Incident Management System Training
